Colt Single Actions For Sale

PRE-WAR COLT SINGLE ACTION

(1) Colt Single Action Army 4-3/4” bbl, blue and color case 45LC, serial number 355544, made in 1937. This is in 85% “EXCELLENT PLUS” condition. The grips do NOT appear to be original BUT are an excellent fit and are the proper PRE-WAR Single Action Army grips. The cylinder chambers and barrel bores are excellent although the gun has evidently had some carry wear. This is a good clean late PRE-WAR Colt Single Action in the most popular "old west caliber" that falls into the “BATTLE OF BRITAIN” range Single Actions BUT it is NOT one of the ones shipped over there for war time use to arm the “home guard”. The B.O.B. range SAA’s are becoming quite a collectible period Colt. Anyway, you guys be the judge of what you want to pay for this fine old Colt that just turned 70 this year. Kathy Hoyt, Colt Historian, attempted to research this gun but records are missing for this period....(THANK YOU R.L. WILSON)...... $8,795.00

(3) ENGRAVED MATCHED PAIR of COLT MODEL P SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVERS, serial numbers 45641SA and 45643SA, manufactured in 1967 - 4-3/4" 45LC, Helfricht style engraved, silver plated. NEW, UNFIRED, UNTURNED, ENGRAVED BY JOHN ADAMS, Sr. These Colts are exact duplicates of the GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON, Jr. COLT SINGLE ACTION with IVORY CARVED EAGLE GRIPS complete with the two notches he carved in the grips for killing 2 mexican bandits. NO CYLINDER turn mark, 100% condition. These come complete with a walnut double display case (built by Les Yoder) with 4 silver stars inlaid in a walnut block and a silver engraved 3 Army patch enlaid in a circular block of walnut. The guns were never fired prior to engraving. They were absolutely new in the box guns when I took them to Adams & Adams Engravers in October, 2006. John Adams, Sr. engraved one third generation for a Colt Mfg. Co. customer from pictures the customer furnished of the Patton Colt. Adams and Adams engravers did 10 for Doug Turnbull and then John Adams, Sr. did these 2 second generation for me. The barrels were sent to Doug Turnbull to have the 2 line barrel address on top of the barrel and "45 Colt" calibre marking on the left side to be more precise to the original HELFRICHT ENGRAVED PATTON COLT. They even have the S&W style lanyard ring in the butt. These 2 Colts are the only 2nd Generation PATTON STYLE COLTS that were ever done and are absolutely beautiful!! ......................$17,500.00

(4) COLT P-1851 - CONSECUTIVE PAIR 5-1/2" NICKEL 45LC UNFIRED, BUT SLIGHT CYLINDER LINE with ORIGINAL FACTORY WALNUT GRIPS. 98%+ CONDITION in original Stagecoach boxes. MANUFACTURED IN 1967 - THESE ARE STAGECOACH BOX COLTS with boxes and litterature included............. $8,695.00

(5) COLT P-1840 - ONE OF A KIND - NO OTHER IN EXISTENCE!!!! - Factory "C" engraved Single Action Army 45LC B&CC 4-3/4" barrel that was engraved by Dennis Kies with it's original hard rubber grips. It also has the original STAGECOACH BOX WITH SLIP COVER THAT IS NUMBERED TO THE GUN and the proper litterature as well as the cardboard piece that fits over the gun inside the box and a Colt Historical letter signed by Marty Huber, Colt Historian who was employed by Colts longer than any employee in company history. The serial number is 61209SA, processed on Factory Order #12194 and shipped to Jerry's Gun Shop on Sep. 30, 1971 in Brookfield, IL. "The Post - War Colt Single - Action Army 1955 - 1975" by Don Wilkerson, page 139, shows that Dennis Kies only engraved a total of eleven second generation Colt SAA's and only one of them was this "C" coverage 4-3/4" 45LC. Those of you who collect Colts know the significance of possessing a piece such as this. Don Wilkerson set high standards on the information that we dealer/collectors rely on so much today. This information - FOUND ONLY IN HIS BOOKS - better equips us to do indepth research and effectively describe the Colt Single Action's that seldom become available to the new generation of collectors or the well established collector. If you are realistic about collecting rare items, this is for you............$ SOLD

THIRD GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION

COLT P-2841, 4-3/4" NICKLE 45LC. B/P STYLE FRAME w/FACTORY PLAIN IVORY GRIPS (no medallions). NEW, UNFIRED & UNTURNED... NO BOX .............................SOLD.

COLT P-1941-This new in the box Colt 4-3/4" 44-40, serial # S04256A, is fully engraved with Titanium Gold plating finish and ready for you to take to the Cowboy Range. The Ti-Gold finish is harder than the Glock finish. Check out Ti-Gold website http://www.tigold.com/ and research it for yourself. A few years ago, I had 2 Colt SAA's engraved, this 44-40 and a 2nd Generation 45. I shoot the 45 at our local Cowboy Action matches. I have never shot the 44-40. It was engraved by Jerry Harper who is an accomplished Cowboy Shooter himself. You can shoot this and clean it up and no one will ever be able to tell it has ever been shot. The action is smooth as glass, don't worry about putting a cylinder ring on the cylinder because the finish is so hard that you would have to get a diamond to cut it.... and it better be a hard one!!! The ultimate gun with the ultimate finish. ...........................$2,699.00

COLT Model P-1841Z 4-3/4" NICKEL 45LC- COLT FACTORY ENGRAVED!!! "B" COVERAGE FACTORY ENGRAVING WITH HARD RUBBER EAGLE GRIPS. THESE ARE HARD TO GET NOWADAYS. IF YOU LIKE ENGRAVED COLTS, THEN THIS IS THE ONE YOU ARE AFTER. ......... This is a very desireable COLT that will add to any Colt collection ........... ESPECIALLY YOURS!! ................................................................................. $ 2, 895.00.

COLT CONSECUTIVE NUMBERED SET, P-1850, 5-1/2" B&CC 45LC - SPECIAL EDITION - 125th ANNIVERSARY OF THE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY. SERIAL NUMBERS SA74114 & SA74115. These were introduced at the SHOTSHOW in Las Vegas, NV in 1997 to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the legendary Colt Single Action Army Revolver. The SAA was introduced in 1872. It turned 125 years old in 1997. There were to be 250 made but I do not think that they reached the goal. The finish is the Colt Oven Blue with and Case Hardening process that was done by contract to Doug Turnbull. Everyone is familiar with his excellent quality work and you will appreciate the fine craftsmanship he put into these "old Colts". The medallion in the grips is a special one made just for this series of Colt SAA's. The serial number range began with SA74001 which was retained by the factory. .........................................................................................................
